The cemetery will remain accessible with the gates open between 9 am – 5 pm daily.

History Mystery Tours Coming Up!

Please join us for the annual History Mystery Tours at Riverside Cemetery! This annual tour showcases the history of Denver’s oldest operating cemetery and those buried there.
The event is Friday, October 27th with tours taking place between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM.

Riverside Clean Up Day!

Thursday July 20th from 6-8:30-ish PM
Come when you can – Leave when you must!
• Trash pickup
• Flowerbed weeding
o All raised beds
o Iris bed
Cold bottled water and trash bags will be provided.
Please wear sturdy shoes, hats, gloves, bug spray, sunscreen!!!
Public Hearing – RIVERSIDE NEEDS YOU!
April 30, 2017 – 8:19 amRTD and BNSF railway have filed a petition with the state of Colorado to move the current entrance to Riverside Cemetery.
The proposed new location of the entrance, at the north end of the cemetery on York street, impacts not only the accessibility of the office to visitors and the safety and security of the cemetery, but also it will greatly alter this historic landmark.
RIVERSIDE CEMETERY NEEDS YOU!
There will be a hearing to discuss this change and collect public comment. Please make time in your schedule to attend in person and make your thoughts known about this change.
The hearing will be:

Please attend and oppose the York street entrance. Alternative entrances (such as one on Race Street), while more expensive, are viable and preferred.
